MEET THE FOUNDER
Tacit Insight was founded by Edward Young — a management consultant, solution architect, and software developer with over 20 years of hands-on experience transforming operations across some of Canada's largest organizations.
The name "Tacit Insight" reflects a core belief: the most valuable intelligence in any business already exists within its data, its processes, and its people. Most organizations don't need more data — they need someone who can listen to what it's already saying.
BACKGROUND
Edward began his career in operational improvement at Rogers Communications, where he identified and implemented initiatives worth tens of millions in annual savings — from call center AHT reduction and billing error root-cause analysis to campaign controls and field operations optimization.
He went on to work with TELUS, MTS Allstream, Equifax, CIBC, Cogeco, Breezeline, FleetComplete, and public-sector organizations — consistently delivering measurable results across telecom, financial services, GIS/geospatial, and IoT fleet management.
His roles have spanned the spectrum: LEAN Leader, Senior Manager of Business Improvement, Director, Solution Architect, and Principal Consultant. Whether the engagement calls for executive-level strategy or database-level troubleshooting, Edward works across the full stack.
